LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.

LITELOK X1 is compatible with our innovative X1 Tactical mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 is held securely even the roughest of terrain. X1 is also compatible with the Twist & Go mount. Both of the X1 mounts are sold separately.

Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4. (Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.)

LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, LITELOK's patented anti-angle grinder material, applied as a permanently fused composite armour to provide maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs. The X range comprises three layers of protection:

1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame

LITELOK's founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world's leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, LITELOK's ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.

LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with LITELOK so that in the event that keys are lost, replacements can be ordered.

Yes, key-matching isn't limited to pairs. Three or more X1 locks can be ordered to share the same key.

This is a standard checkout option: simply select the quantity of key match locks you require and enter your existing key number.

LITELOK X1 comes with 2 keys on a stainless steel keyring. If you'd like to purchase additional keys for your lock, you can do so on our website. Simply visit the spare keys page on our website. Before adding the item to your cart, make sure you fill in the 'key number' shown above the add to cart button with the number that can be found on the shaft of your key (see below).

Please note that it can take 8-10 weeks for new keys to be delivered.

Use our fit-check tool to see whether other riders have already uploaded fit details for your exact motorcycle model. If your model isn't listed yet, compare your frame against our shackle and mount dimensions instead.

For motorcycles specifically, always secure the lock through a structurally integral part of the frame, a component that can't be cut through or easily removed, rather than through bodywork, then attach it to something immovable. As a general reference, internal shackle width is 101mm across the X1 range and 99mm on the X3.

Select the 'key match' option on the product page when ordering, then enter the serial number found on the teeth of your existing keys. This links the new lock's key to match your existing one, no need to contact support for standard matching.

Key match is only available on LITELOK X1, X1 Mini and X1 Plus.

The most common cause of Tactical Mount breakage is the lock not being pushed fully into the mount before twisting it to lock in place - twisting while it's slightly misaligned puts extra stress on the plastic catch.

Correct installation is shown in our Tactical Mount install guide. If your mount breaks under normal use following the correct installation steps, get in touch - we typically replace it free of charge.

LITELOK X1: shackle legs are elliptical, 25.5mm x 22.5mm with the polymer coating (18.6mm x 20mm without coating). Internal width 106mm.

LITELOK X3: shackle legs 27.5mm x 24.0mm with coating (22.5mm x 20mm without). Internal width 106mm.

LITELOK X1 PLUS: see the product page for full specifications - the lock is larger than A4, so no standalone printable size guide exists for it yet.

Tactical Mount fitting (X1, X1 PLUS and X3): minimum frame circumference 75mm, maximum 200mm. Overall mounted dimensions are approximately 17.5cm from the mount to the furthest shackle leg (19cm to the lock body edge), and 26.5cm from the top of the shackle to the keyhole for X1/X3 (32.5cm for X1 PLUS). Tactical Mounts are recommended for bicycles only, not motorcycles.

Manufacturing tolerances mean slight variation is possible. Printable size-guide PDFs exist for X1 and X3 (search "Customer Size Guide" on litelok.com) if you'd like to check fit before ordering.

This is a very common question. There is actually no difference between LITELOK X1 and LITELOK X1 Moto. The reason why we display them separately on our website is to show how X1 can be used to secure different types of bikes and motorcycles.

LITELOK's X-range locks include an anti-rotation feature designed so that a single cut to one side of the shackle is not enough to remove the lock - the shackle needs to be cut on both sides to be fully separated and removed from a locking position.

If you believe your lock was removed after what looked like only one cut, this is inconsistent with expected product performance. Get in touch with photos of the lock and how it was fitted, and our engineering team will inspect it.

Key-matched (paired-key) orders take 8-10 weeks and are manufactured in strict chronological order, so we're not able to move an individual order ahead of others in the queue, even for urgent personal circumstances.

The Tactical Mount uses circular straps, so it fits round tubing within a 75mm to 200mm frame circumference (see our sizing and fit specs).

Frames with large rectangular top tubes, aero profiles, or step-through frames with no top tube may not have a suitable mounting point for the circular strap design. Check your frame's actual tube shape and dimensions against the spec sheet before ordering if you're unsure.
